In this way, the USCIS makes sure it takes the exact amount of money it needs, regardless whether we write the check for $1 or $2000.

You can go to your bank to get the copy of the check (print-out and may pay a few dollars to the bank for the print-out). Otherwise, the copy of the check will be shown on your monthly account statement.
