too expensive, both lens and insurance. Break even if breaking 2

We have $110/lense, no insurance(never heard of this insurance). My daughter broke two in her first year. The doctor thought it was very weird she could break it while washing and taught her again how to wash. Never lost any. She is in her 3rd year.

My son started at 8. He had one accident, dropped both into the sink. Since these lenses are expensive, my hu*****and took apart the sink drain and found both of them. Since then I washed the lenses for my son. They are pretty durable.
