Does your rent go through your PM?

Does your PM deduct his pay from the rent or you pay him directly?

I just got a call from a PM, he offers $50/month per property but i am still hesitated.

What i am concerned is the vacancy time. I just don't trust that he has the sense of urgency to rent out a vacant house as the landlord do.
