4. You can claim more. 12 times round trip for rent, 12 times to bank to deposit, any trip to pay tax or utility bills...Always carry a pad and pen in your car to log mileage, distance, date, destination, and purpose.

5.2010. Different story if rent due Dec 10 but never paid.It is equivalent to goods or service sold in year1 and get paid year2.
