ARLINGTON, Texas — A man was killed and a woman was wounded Thursday at an Arlington church, police said.
Officers responding to an assault call found a man dead inside North Pointe Baptist Church in northeast Arlington and a woman with severe injuries, an Arlington police spokeswoman told WFAA.
Police said both victims were employees of the church, the Star-Telegram reported.
The suspect or suspects could be armed and may have fled the scene in the female victim's car, which was missing, according to police.
Tiara Richard, an Arlington police spokeswoman, told the Star-Telegram that officers were called to the church by a friend of a church employee.
The friend went to the church to try to contact the employee but found it locked. She looked in a window and saw a dead body, Richard said.
