Lots of the ads are from dealers, who hide their true IDs.

Then, the private parties lack the understanding of pricing, and often over priced. Mainly because of the fact that when the time they bought the piano, the dealer had convinced them that the piano would keep its full value. So, many of them try to get the money back. One friend of mine thinks the dealers have better price than the craiglist. However, I see some excellent deals, too, thought the percentage is small. If you see a good, grab it fast or it will be gone. There are people who know the market.
