be provided, in at least one habitable room, with either mechanical
cooling, or an alternate cooling method. Mechanical cooling shall be
capable of maintaining a temperature of eighty (80) degrees when the
ambient outside temperature is one hundred and five (105) degrees or
less. Evaporative cooling shall follow the manufacturer’s
recommendations. Dwelling units using alternate methods shall maintain
eighty-eight (88) degrees or less in at least one habitable room. Such
facilities shall be installed and maintained in a safe condition and in
accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Temperature
measurements shall be made in the center of the room, five (5) feet above
the floor.
