Your statement that it is common for Chinese families working in the hi-tech field to earn more than $250k is false.

I don't know what you mean by saying "don't change the topic." I'm simply pointing out the unwarranted assumptions in your argument. It helps you see the difference between factual data and personal observation. You are entitled to your personal view, but the norm is supported by statistical data.
