is crazy. The easiest thing they can do is to cut rate and print money. These activities only require a few keystrokes. No matter what gov is doing, the matter of fact is that Gov. itself never creates any net wealth. If they patch one big hole, they must create a big hole from something else. Furthermore, the Gov. can only solve liquility issue. It has little to do with gigantic amount of bad debt companies face or your tax dollar is in risk.

The gov. should promote and coordinate an orderly recession or depression so that disfunctional things can be killed by the system. Housing price has to be back to 3-4*salary with 30 years fixed mortgage. Take responsibility for its own currency and do not massively spread its own problem to other nations since we can not afford another 9.11.
