Tibet crisis is NOT about Tibet becoming independent. That issue has long been settled and cleared between Mao and Da Lai. Since 1950's, Da Lai had believed and made it clear to Mao that Tibet is permement part of China. On this issue, there is no difference between CCP and Da Lai
What they differ is how/who to govern Tibet. Da Lai wants to govern Tibet and perserve its culture and way of life while CCP, being what they are, wants to control everything in Tibet, even La Ma temples.
CCP simply can not allow Da Lai or anyone else for this matter, to get control over Tibet. So they do what they do the best, fabricate, encode, codify, mold Da Lai's positions into a malevolent, inflammatory separatist who intend to slice this great west land from our motherland. Afterwards, they shut off communication and seal off history books and set their propaganda machine to repeat mode for generations until everyone in China believe that Da Lai is separatist as much as they believe Sun setting
Why do they do this? It goes to the core of communists: control. Communists are proud of them being not religious. In fact, they are, radically so. They believe in controlling. Everything they do or say is about one thing and one thing only: control.
So to many people's di*****elief, this Tibet problem is not about territory integrity of China. This is about ideological conflict.
