Thanks for your help indeed.

The windwows re-installation was a bit more than repair, in which I intalled the windows into the older partition and overwrote the old folders. Basically I was hoping to get the system running and backup my data. The windows now is up and running.

And my data is in the same hard disk but in another partition called D:

The trouble is now I can't open this data partition (D) any more, the message is just like 'can't open, access denied'.

The funny thing is I could enter the other two partitions (E, F) with no problems.

Now, is it clearer? Please help me.
