for todays car (copue, sedan, wagon etc.), especially 4 wheel disc car, no need for engine brake, no safty issue here. over heating only apply to truck with heavy load.
空档滑行的危险性
first, while car is moving, you don't need power steering to steer the car, no big difference. second, todays car come with ABS, to make ABS work properly, it come with some kind of pressure reserve system, most car use vaccum accumulator, some use hydrolic pressure accumulator, in anothor word, even engine is not running, you still have enough pressure for you to operate brake for more than 50 times! there is no danger to coasting with neuture.
空档滑行到底省不省油
the author is totally out of mind. save gas means use less gas while travel at same distance, even with fuel cut off, coasting with gear will get you less distance, thus it does not consume less fuel.
