not that much different from the rest of the Chinese. As a matter of fact, most Cantonese' ancestor came from north. Like my father's family, they came from Beijing Area a thousand year ago, my mom's family came from Hangzhou in Song Dynasty. About all the Cantonese like to eat cats and dogs is a rumor too. I know there are some people do, but not my family and my relatives.
