I-551 stamp is the stamp on your passport after your 485 is approved and before your green card is received. It says, "Processed for I-551.Temporary evidence of lawful admission for permanent residence valid until ___.Employment authorized." Then your A#, center and date satmped.
I-551 is a stamp which functions is a temporary green card.
