Bonbon, I just read the first half of the above post. Good calculation, I trust it. However you didn't consider one very important fact.

In second gear, if you shift at 7500rpm, or if you shift at 5000 rpm, the speed of your car is different.

If you want max accelation, you have to main rpm as close as where the max hp area.
