Yes, you need to wait at least two months before filing adjustment of status application. It's not a requirement by law but just to avoid being found misrepresentation for the purpose to came to U.S. on B visa. File I-130/I-485 together to local CIS office with all the supporting docs (read instruction of the forms for supporting docs). Depending where you live, you need to file medical, affidavit of support at the time you file the applicaiton or at the time of interview.
