Contract Position: Project Engineer - Solar Energy
Work Location: Energy Solutions Company, San Francisco, CA 94101
Desired Start Date: 6/9/2014
Contract Duration: 12 Months to start; Strong possibility becoming full time for right candidate

Job Overview:
The Project Engineer works under the direct supervision of the Sr. Project Manager to complete preliminary and detailed renewable power analysis and design for public sector clients, such as public school district, throughout Northern California. Main office is in Downtown San Francisco with work offices in San Jose and Sacramento.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preliminary solar site surveys.
• Perform detailed solar site analysis. Calculate potential generation utilizing PVSyst modeling tool.
• Perform utility rate analysis scenarios for potential energy and cost savings.
• Perform preliminary solar design.
• Work with engineering partner to complete final solar designs.
• Review mechanical, structural and electrical drawings.
• Local Travel or Day Trip is required for this position and may be up to 10% of the time.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (ME or EE) from an accredited college or university is required
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience and technical training in Renewal Solar Energy
• A California Professional Engineering license is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along strong time management skills.
• Proficient computer skills including basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
