Title: Outsourcing Commodity Manager (PES)

Responsibilities:                           

1.        This is a position in Corporate Strategic Procurement (CSP). The group has enterprise wide responsibility for sourcing indirect goods and services including, laptops, servers, switches, discs, software, health benefits, contingent workforce, technical consulting, relocation services, marketing and advertising services and global travel services. We are seeking Commodity Managers to support Product Engineering and Outsourcing services for Intel Engineering Groups.

2.        In this position, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of global sourcing strategies, supplier selection, supplier management, contract negotiation and stakeholder influencing relating to Product Engineering Services (PES). You will work with global commodity managers, engineers, and key business stakeholders in Intel's R&D groups to develop a sourcing strategy and facilitate the execution of that strategy. Drive key internal and external relationships that help advance Intel's knowledge in the outsourcing domain and establish Intel as a thought leader in this space.

3.        Represent CSP internally on key sites & regional forums and externally on industry leadership forums. Must be comfortable working in globally dispersed teams, strategic thinking ability, have strong analytical and influencing skills. 4.        Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Obtains materials, components, equipment and services. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria. At higher levels may require domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.

5.        The Outsourcing Commodity Manager (PES) will join a team to support sourcing for the growing outsourcing activity at Intel. The person can expect to work closely with Intel's engineering groups, MOBILE COMMUNICATION GROUP, IT Risk and Security, Finance and other partners; You can expect to work on new contracts, risk mitigation, alternate sourcing, supplier qualifications and outsourcing strategies.



Requirements:

This position requires strong leadership, influence, communication skills, and partners with a wide range of organizations (Engineering, Ops and Finance, MOBILE COMMUNICATION GROUP, SALES AND MARKETING GROUP, PC AND CLIENT GROUP, and CHINA TECHNICAL ECOSYSTEM) and interact regularly with senior management.

Individual must be action oriented and should have strong business partnering, problem solving, and analytical skills. This is an in-house senior business attorney position, based in Shanghai or Beijing, for Intel China and McAfee Greater China group.

In this position, the attorney will support the legal needs of various Intel and McAfee business groups conducting product and technology development and marketing, with an emphasis on software and solutions, with clients based in both China and the US. Assistance to the legal team handling matters in other parts of Asia may also be required from time to time.

Typical work includes:

China VISUAL AND PARALLEL GROUP SW (CVS) is a fast growing team within the VISUAL AND PARALLEL GROUP Graphics SW Development and Validation organization that provides state-of-the-art, Gfx/Media/Display drivers and tools that unleash Intel's pGfx. We are looking for a strong engineering manager to lead our Content Protection Development and Validation team and help us pursue our vision to extend Intel's Media leadership in Laptop/Desktop to all emerging consumer devices and platforms. As a Content Protection engineering manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of development and validation engineers to deliver gfx driver support for Content Protection and Digital Rights Management workloads. These responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

1.        Plan and assign tasks, monitor, track and update progress, with alignment with global content protection team and development/validation strategy

Title: Simulation Software Engineer

Do you want to contribute to building the best compute platforms in the world, ranging from wearables to huge HPC clusters? Our tools are fundamental building blocks in shaping Intel's and the industry's future. Simics is a smarter way to develop software, based on simulation of the full system. Working independently of hardware, it is possible to decouple activities, break dependencies, and work concurrently, producing results at velocities simply impossible with physical systems.

The Simics Runtime and Framework teams are expanding and have several open positions in Stockholm and Beijing for software engineers. The job consists of design, implementation, and support of Simics software components. The engineer would, depending on qualifications and background, contribute to one or more areas of Simics. The areas for the Simics Runtime team include cross-platform binary translation, interpreter technology, simulator infrastructure, model development, and model integration. Areas for the Simics Framework team include SystemC interoperability, debuggers, software and hardware analysis views, virtual machine configuration, and modeling tools.

Simics is a simulator supporting the definition, development and deployment of digital systems. It is fast, accurate, scalable and extensible. Simics is used for simulation and modeling of processor architectures, System on Chips, devices, boards, etc; in order to enable customers to improve their product development life-cycle with help of simulation. Interactions with customers inside and outside Intel can be expected. Simics is used internally at Intel and is available commercially to third parties through Intel's subsidiary, Wind River. Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Ph D in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required. A successful candidate would be an expert programmer with experience gained either from hobby projects or from earlier employment.

General software development skills are required, such as knowledge of programming tools, languages and environments; typically C/C++, Python, Java, Subversion, GIT, Eclipse, Linux, and Windows. Earlier experience in the domains of user interface design, functional simulation as well as knowledge of operating systems and development tools is beneficial.
