To be honest with you, the guy seems to tight for my taste, e.g., asking for diploma. However, different people see things differently. As he asks for yours, you should ask for his. Also, you can go to local police for his background check ;-)

For the fact that you ask question here, I think you are not happy with him. If this is the case, move on. There are quite a few nice guys out there.
