真是难题啊3 -- mother is the key!

I think the key is, the cousin should take care of her mother first. (From the original article, it seems the parents were happy together until the father got some money.) To be dumped, without major faults, at 50s, this kind of betrayal must be very painful. Maybe the father fell in love. However, it is the mother who got hurt badly. The father has his new family (wife and kid); the mother has nobody but her own children. If the daught give the father moeny without the consent from the mother, it sounds to me like stabbing the mother on the back again. To let an old lady suffer another betrayal from her own kids is uncomprehensible.

This is not about money; this is about the life (spiritual) support of the mother.
