为什么要GAP year?

1) 心智更成熟：接触社会后，对学医更加死心塌地。碰到困难能顶的住。

2）把GPA搞上去：继续读书。

3）做一到二年研究：争取出点成果或文章。

4）推荐信更强，更好。

5）献爱心：做一年义工，加分不少。

6)  MCAT 不高的，也可以再考。

GAP 的流行是因为水涨船高的结果。好一点的州大医学院大多数的新生也是gap过一到二年。

总而言之：Take GAP year 就是为了提高竞争力。

GAP year 对学生的心理压力很大，十分容易抑郁。家长要多关心。
