Then about 7,000 of the 15,000 will become Scholar.

2,500 of 7,000 will be selected as the national merit $2,500 scholarship winner (can use the money at any school).

Other 4,500 winners are college sponsored (must attend that school to receive money), or company sponsored (usually only for the children of the empoyees of the company)
