小留成了老留

昨晚接到电话，几年前我帮忙弄到美国来读书的小留周末要来看我。

去年年底我和太太参加了她的毕业典礼后，有一阵子没和她联系了。昨晚电话过来，我第一句就问：你现在在哪里啊？哈哈，她都开始读研究生了。毕业的时候我就知道她准备考研，也没有说一定要留美国，但希望多读点书，最好有点工作经验后回国。家里独生女，父母也没有可能退休出国，国内也有关系网，留美不留美其实都不是将来考虑的重点。。。

我知道她这是来说谢谢的。当不负责任的中介把她的申请材料送到大学后，就撒手不管了，最后全军覆没的情况下，他爸，一向不肯麻烦我的高中老同学，万般无奈，只好请我帮忙。了解了一下大致的个人资料，问清了不想走community college-州大的路线，找了一家本地州大系统里稍差一点的学校，居然拿到奖学金录取，费用和本州学生差不多。。。

本科毕业的时候，爹妈来不了，我拉着太太冒充爹娘去。这一开始读研，就该成升级，跟“老伯伯”我一样，成“老留”了。人之将老，最高兴的就是看到年轻一辈因自己有意无意的拉过一把，走上人生的坦途。。。
