以为儿子这个礼拜就该结束玉米地的劳动，下周开始上大学的准备呢。昨晚一问，说这个礼拜其实就两个临时工，下礼拜就他一个人了，一多半因为表现不好中间被cut了，还有一少半要准备开学了。估计干到礼拜中间可以干完，剩下一个礼拜时间作上学前的准备--衣服用生活用品等等网上采购好，爸妈和他两部车拉过去。。。数数自己的银行帐户，再从老爸老妈这里揩点油--汽车走之前换好油，电池，雨刷。。。冬衣准备齐全，给老爸说：我第一年的零用钱够了呢，work/study第一年就免了。等我适应了大学生活，再考虑吧。。。

周末去shopping，老妈还念叨着最近菜园子产出太多，桌上都是蔬菜，儿子地里干活，回家胃口不错，是不是该多点肉食。和儿子商量，烤点肉给他吃。三块牛排，六块猪排，三十块的开销，够儿子一个礼拜了。吃不完的蔬菜怎么办？晒！这不，一下子就是三十斤的新鲜豆类摊在后院么。

老妈说，等儿子上学去了，我们再慢慢啃这些干菜--省钱给儿子交学费！
