我认真读了文章（拍拍自己的肩膀）。觉得这篇文章写的很好啊，只是陈述了情况，并没有贬低谁。

而且，如果人只是和自己相类似的人交往，在comfortable的同时，确实是boring. 年纪大的人，喜欢做轻松的事（比如，如今我更喜欢住旅馆而不是露营）；但年轻的人，更愿意探索社会，做有挑战性的事（背包客中，年轻人居多啊）。

如果一定要说这篇文章贬低了谁的话，貌似在说学校的领导老师们做的不好，不该打击亚裔孩子努力上进的积极性。比如这一段：
