春假约了好朋友一家一起去美国西南的Utah和Arizona大圆环。 但时间有限，我们只走了大圆环西部的小圈。
UT and AZ small loop from LV 行程
* Packing essentials: hiking shoes, sun hats, sun glasses, jackets, sunscreen, hand moisturizer (really really dry there)
Day 0: Fly into Las Vegas. Stay in Vegas. 住Hyatt，中规中矩。
Day 1: LV to Grand Canyon south rim. 4hr.
Do your shopping (fruits, water, and snacks) before leaving Las Vegas.
Enjoy the Hoover bypass bridge and stop for views of the dam.
Enter the Grand Canyon through the South Entrance.
Take the shuttle to Hermits Rest and enjoy the stops along the way. Our favorite stops are: Powell Point, Hopi Point, and Pima Point.
坐公园里的shuttle走西线，有很多观景点可以一路赏玩大峡谷的千姿百态。 为避免审美疲劳，我们只挑了两个。 这个Powell Point有块很像悬崖的大石头正好给人取景，大人小孩都乐忠于扮大胆。
Stay in Tusayan (10min from gate, Holiday Inn).
Day 2: Grand Canyon to Page/Lake Powell 2hr
Sunrise at 6:30am, Mather Point or Yavapai Point.
Take a hike down Bright Angel trail.
Take Desert View drive and stop at Lipan Point and Desert View. Climb the Desert View tower. 再转战东线，直捣终点Dessert View。 这里的风光更有特色，登上塔顶便能享受360度美景。
Exit the park through the East Entrance, drive 1.5hr to Horseshoe Bend
Hike up to the horseshoe bend overlook (1.5 miles round trip) before sunset. Amazing view.
河道在眼前转了一个近360度的弯。
虽然以前也看过很多马蹄湾的照片，但没料到实景的尺寸超大，一整个惊心动魄，超震撼！ 孩子们都说，“大峡谷实景没有照片惊艷，但马蹄湾实景比照片更壮观！”
只有我想起了冰糖蹄膀吗？ 跟老公和好友说，他们纷纷摇头不解，啊呀，这群ABC，连蹄膀都不知道！

Day 3: Page/Lake Powell
Tour Antelope Canyons (https://antelopelowercanyon.com $25/adult, $15/kid, Excellent)。 我们走的是lower antelope canyon，非常赞。
那細膩的流動波紋，好像正在被風吹拂，就在剎那間被凝固成永恆。
簡直就是一天然的石造殿堂啊。
我最愛的是這風中的少女，實在太詩意了！

Visit Glen Canyon Dam visitor center for excellent view. Walk across the dam
Boat tour on Lake Powell (大家都昏昏欲睡，不推薦。)

我们的房间面东，早上站在阳台上便可以欣赏日出的瑰丽。
看阳光把岩壁镀上了一层金灿灿的金粉，再倒映在湖面上，满目流金溢彩。
Day 4: Page to Bryce 3hr
Drive 1.5 hr to Coral Pink Sand State Park

黄沙漫漫，连绵起伏，果然大漠风情十足。 假如此时一行驼队伴着声声驼铃悠悠行过，会不会叫人以为来到了撒哈拉？
我们分乘三辆ATV，跟着一前一後两位导游，从沙丘的一个高峰急速下冲，再急转弯冲往下一个高峰，惊险刺激，小朋友丶大朋友都狂叫，“Awesome!”
ATV停在一处大沙丘前。 导游带了两块滑板，让我们尝试超好玩的滑沙，体验风驰电掣的快感。
人在沙丘顶端就那麽一小粒，这才看得出沙丘的高度啊。
Coral Pink Sand State Park to Bryce State Park 1.5 hr
Enjoy sunset at Sunset Point.
Ranger-led astronomy and night sky program (ends at 9:30pm, excellent)
Stay in Ruby’s Inn (nice indoor pool) .
Day 5: Bryce
Sunrise at 7:30am, Bryce Point
千軍萬馬，整装待发
夕阳为这苍茫大地镀上一抹金辉，也把一棵棵石柱打扮得粉扑扑。
这一大坑称为amphitheater，是不是叫人立刻联想到罗马斗兽场？
比起Sunset Point，这里的石柱更为密集而齐整，看起来密密匝匝。 总统府前游行集会啦！ 只是大家都穿的这么粉，一片红彤彤喜洋洋。 仔细看，颜色由浅入深，橙红、粉红，还有一点点白，很有层次感。
Drive the scenic drive and stop at Bryce, Inspiration, Sunrise, Sunset, Natural bridge Points.
Hike Navajo to Queen’s Garden loop trail (2hr, easy to moderate)
Horseback riding with Canyon Trail Rides
Do another hike like Peekaboo Loop Trail.
Stay in Ruby’s Inn
Day 6: Bryce to Zion 1.5hr
Sunrise photo at Sunset Point (no typo, hike down to Thor’s hammer)

From Bryce to Zion, Take 89, then head west on Route 9. Enter through the Eastern entrance.
Zion锡安国家公园是此行的最后一站。 这个国家公园有点亏，是那种漂亮却不太上相的姑娘，网上或者画册里的照片都不怎么吸引人，而身历其境的我们却被她的绝代风华一再惊艳。
连绵的山岚将我们包围，有些凌厉，有些和缓，都在蓝天下从容舒展着等待我们的到来。
那些皱褶和线条太叫我着迷了！ 
远景中的悬崖峭壁，淙淙小溪蜿蜒而过，两岸绿树葱茏－－好一幅山清水秀的山水画。
这天是弟弟的九岁生日。 晚上我们在一家crepe店給弟弟庆生。
谷底郁郁葱葱，小溪萦绕。
Once inside the park, route 9 offers stunning slickrock scenery.
Stop before the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel and do the Canyon Overlook Trail. A must-do hike!
Continue on Route 9 and arrive in the lower main Zion Canyon.
Hike the easy Riverside Trail and play along the river.
Stay in Holiday Inn Springdale
Day 7: Zion to St. George 1hr
Recommended hiking trails:
easy: Emerald Pools Trail (2hr), Weeping Rock （看到細細的水絲了嗎？）
harder: Angels landing, Zion Narrows, Observation Point, Hidden Canyon.
Bike Pa’rus Trail
Stay in St. George - Inn on the Cliff (Thumbs up, awesome cliff view and pool hot tub)
Day 8: St. George to Las Vegas
Option: Snow Canyon State Park
Las Vegas: We enjoyed Xavier Mortimer’s Magical Dream
Fly back home.
此行仅仅探访了科罗拉多高原大圆环的一小部分，已经叫我们频频感叹这一路的公园，尽管格局大小不一，却都俯拾皆美。 虽然都是红岩景观，然则各有各鲜明的个性、风貌--磅礴壮观的大峡谷、魔幻瑰丽的羚羊谷、水天一色的Powell湖、惊心动魄的马蹄湾、红沙漫漫的Coral Pink沙丘、岩柱林立的Bryce谷、奇峻秀丽的Zion，个个精彩纷呈。 未来更期待再访Utah，Arizona这一带，继续造访大圆环的其他公园景点，享受它们各擅勝場的绝世美景。
