Maybe I am wrong, but do feel that most Chinese parents treat their children as their property, they invest money and expect return. They demand their children to gain all the skills possible and compare with other kids, and criticize, and give a good reason “I am doing all this for you”. Poor children, we have all been there and hopefully we won’t do the same to our children. Don’t demand your children to understand you, make yourself understandable, and by bringing us to the world, it doesnt mean that we owe them for life.
