从父母和孩子对话看当今tck的生存环境 junior high and high school

父：do you feel good about being a abc? you guys get the best out of the two worlds. your parents give you the best without asking for payback . you donot need to worry about college or graduate school tuition while your white friends have to work to pull them through college.
子女：not really. jh and hs are divided by social classes and most abc in a caucasion community belong to " china town", the lowest class. you have to work hard to improve your status.
父：what are the symbols of china town.
子女：care too much about grades, talk about college all the time, nerdy, don't know how to talk to people, don't know how to present their intelligence without being viewed as bragging, immature- don't know how to deal with opposite sex.
父：so, how do you deal with it.
子女: everyone has to face it. even within the white community, you have lower class and high class. you just have to deal with it and improve your social status.
父： how?
子女: you need to be cool, learn how to be smart without being nerdy, how to talk to people and get accepted. we interact with a lot of different groups, especially the popular ones. we never brag about our achievements.....
