徐悲鴻應印度詩人泰戈爾之邀...

徐悲鴻所畫山水畫不是太多，但他喜歡遊歷，
每到風景壯麗之地，多有描摹之作。1939年
徐悲鴻應印度詩人泰戈爾之邀前往印度講學
及開畫展。此行同時旅遊了喜瑪拉雅山、錫
金及尼泊爾等地。1940年徐悲鴻來到大吉嶺，
創作了一系列以喜瑪拉雅雪山為主題的作品，
本幅就是其中之一。徐悲鴻在創作中傳統山
水畫中的勾皴法統統不用，而是結合了中西
方的繪畫技巧。採用水墨的技法描繪近景的
枯樹枝椏，遠景則以白雪皚皚的山峰作為背
景，以水彩方式描繪而出，並著力渲染出雪
山在雲霧繚繞中的若隱若現，愈發彰顯出雪
山的神秘壯麗。
