请教，听写 和 默写 英文表达，谢谢

用 Google Translate 得到的都是 Dictation，但查词典（http://dictionary.cambridge.org）Dictation只是听写，没能表达默写的意思：

 

› [U] the activity of dictating something for someone else to write down:

I'll ask my assistant to take dictation (= write down what I say).
 

› [C] a test in which a piece of writing is dictated to students learning a foreign language, to test their ability to hear and write the language correctly:

放狗搜出一个短语 write from memory, 意思是对的，但总觉得不是很舒服，有其他表达吗？有没有对应的单词？
