$7k is probably enought to replace the roof. Repair probably cost $1k.

But if the roof is in really bad shape and could cause leak in several places, better replace it all. Otherwise, more damages may cost you lot more in coming years (moisture and decayed woods also attract termites.

So let some contracts take a look and estimate (estimate usually free).
