请问:签买房合同后改主意不想买了,停付买定金(Earnest Money)支票可以吗?

我准备买一个自住新建房,签了购房合同给了定金(Earnest Money)支票$10000。 两天后改主意了,不想买那个房子了。

由于支票还未兑现,请问可以停付定金(Earnest Money)支票吗?停付了有什么问题吗?

合同中有Buyer's Default: Buyer shall be in default for falling to take action timely that delays closing. In the event of a buyer default, Seller shall be entitle to terminate this agreement and keep all of Buyer's deposit and payments for selections or options, as liquideated demanges but not as a penalty.

没有Buyer's Option to Terminate条款,可能因为是新房子。

同样因为是新房,没有房产经纪人,直接向建商购买。

有一点不知是否重要: 在购房合同的一个部分,把共同购买者的名字拼错了
