10Y for 2M need sth like following growth path:

1. 50-55K a year self contribution PLUS employer matching for 401K;
2. max out IRA contribution (another 10-11K per year);
3. 10K per year to 529;
4. Save another 25-30K per year in taxable stocks and bonds.

All together you are saving close to 100K per year, or 1M in principal over 10 years. To support that level of savings, you need to make 200K 10 years ago, and 300K now before tax for dual earners combined.

If you keep these levels of contribution, and DCA in SP500, you should have doubled your the principal contribution, which grows 1M to 2M.

However this 2M number is probably inflated as half of the 2M is probably in tax-deferred account, which is subject to 30-35% deduction at withdrawal.

Again congrats to a very disciplined plan/path.
