It was weekend, we went to have dinner at Plaza del Sol, and then walked back to our hotel at Gran Via. Streets were very crowded. There was a young guy kept following us, pushing a small packet in front of me "Diamond, Diamond," - he wanted to sell me diamond. We kept walking, he wouldn't stop, despite I kept saying "policia". He did seem of any harm but we did not want to take any chance. Finally I stopped and YELLed at him in English. He was shocked, and then back-off. All the while, there were many passers-by, but no one ever paid any attention. My shoulder-bag was hidden under my leather coat. We did not feel something really bad would happen, but were extremely annoyed.
