If I remember correctly, except downtown Manhatton - which has US$100+ per night - everwhere else should be fine. Flashing is a fine location, close to chinatown and many local chinese stay there.

To me, 3 nights is good enough; I even feel boring after the 3rd night. Everything is close to eachother within down-town Manhatton: Wall street, the Church, Ground Zero (in 911). All you saw is high skyrocket building in gray color, old n vague outlook. Time square is too small to be called a 'square'; and Wall Street is too short.

Cruise to the liberty stature and another island is on daily basis; leave earlier if you are going to take the cruise - last departure is around 3:30pm/4:30pm.

You may also took cruise which circle the island to see Manhatton skyline. Visit to UN Building around 40th Street is a good experience for me.
