退 Credit, except Basic Economy. All US3 operate like that.

No need for any reason to cancel and get equal value of credit.

But if you want to get Money back versus a credit that has expiration date, then you buy the insurance which almost inevitably would show up at the final payment screen and you have to choose an option (Yes or No) before confirming your purchase.

Insurance would let you get refund, instead of credit for future use, valid for 1 year from the date you BUY the ticket, NOT the date youcancel the ticket.

The free cancellation does NOT cover Basic Economy.  So DONT buy the cheapest!
