How to arrange European trip?

Hi guru,

I paln to make a trip to Europe during summer. Could anyone guide me how to obtain the Schengen Visa? I have green card and live in California.

Also how to arrange the European trip wisely? Is it better to join a travel agency group?

Any experience and information are welcome.
