Could you give us some suggestion on trip to Yosemite?

We will have a trip to west coast in May this year. As part of it, we plan to drive from San Diego to Yosemite, then to San Francisco, starting from 05/10 (San Diego), leaving on 05/12(San Francisco International Airport).

May I ask if the snow chain is required? I am not sure if the glacier point open or not at that time. Moreover, since the time is so tight, could you give us some suggestion on trip to Yosemite?
