A Quick Visit to Louvre and Tuileries Gardens

After the flight and working in the Paris office during the day, I was so tired but still could not resist the desire to visit Louvre, even for a short while.

Strolling in the Tuileries Gardens in dusk - the most central park in Paris. It stretches its alleys and lawns along the Seine river from the Louvre museum to the Concorde square.

It's a nice 20 min walk by looking over the fountains, sculptures

A place for children to play , lovers to meet, and yesterday the site of great slaughter, the extension of a royal palace and a royal prison. Louis XVI was held prison here during French revolution.

The Place de la Concorde, which is the largest place in Paris, is situated along the Seine and separates the Tuilerie Gardens from the beginning of the Champs Elyse. The place today maintains the general appearance that it had in the eighteenth century. This fountain in the Place de la Concorde isn't far from the place where Louis XVI was beheaded with the guillotine in 1793.
