江南古镇南浔掠影

南浔位于浙江湖州市，地处杭嘉湖平原腹地，是浙江省历史文化名镇，江南著名六大古镇。南浔北面是太湖，东与江苏省交界，距杭州市仅100公里，乘浙江快客35元，行车约2个小时。

乘在杭州开会之便，自己到杭州汽车北站买了去南浔的车票。借杭宁高速，由南庄兜直奔湖州。在湖州城南向东拐上318国道，再行40分钟就到了古镇南浔。

据〈江南园林志〉记载“以一镇之地，而拥有五园，且皆为巨构，实为江南所仅见”。

明代万历至清代中叶的南浔得以成为江浙雄镇，几乎完全依赖蚕丝业和缫丝业，“耕桑之富，甲于浙右”，一个多世纪前，凭借中国近代最大的丝商群体，南浔在清代末年已经成为巨贾云集的全国蚕丝贸易中心。“四象”、“八牛”、“七十二只金黄狗”这是南浔坊间以财富多寡来称呼镇上的江南四巨富、八位大富以及众多的财主。

在清代时南浔人根据当地人家财富的多少，以动物的体形大小形容为“4象8牛72黄金狗”，财富在1000万以上为象，100万以上为牛，30万以上为狗。   

南浔名胜古迹众多，与自然风光和谐融化，既充满着浓郁的历史文化底蕴和灵气，又洋溢着江南水乡古镇诗画一般的神韵。

南浔自古以来文化昌盛，人才辈出，书香不绝。明代时就有“九里三阁老，十里两尚书”之谚。仅宋，明，清三代，南浔就出了进士41名。著名的名胜古迹有嘉业藏书楼、刘镛的庄园小莲庄、张静江故居、张石铭旧居、百间楼和宋代古石桥等。

南浔地处太湖南岸，江南水乡，内河航运十分发达。几乎所有大宗货物例如黄沙、石块、煤炭、粮食都是通过驳船运输。这是东西运河上繁忙的水运景象：
