阿肯色 Arkansas 州对不起我的13项理由。

三年前从加州搬到中西部时，租了大卡车拖着小汽车，跨16州（瞎玩）。经过 Arkansas 州，气死我了。当时的日记如下（加中文注释）。

1-26-2002 Saturday

Yesterday I traveled through seven states: Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Today I traveled through six states: North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Indiana, and Ohio. On this trip, east most: Greenville, SC; south most: Van Horn, TX.

Very bad impression of Arkansas:
1) bad interstate roads; （州际公路坑坑洼洼）
2) road construction; （到处都在施工）
3) confusing traffic cones; （交通施工锥形的指示非常混乱）
4) unclear sign for national park; （到国家公园没有指示牌）
5) slow drivers at Hot Springs city; （温泉市的车辆开得太慢，令我误了到温泉公园的时间）
6) no public phone in downtown; （市中心没有公众电话，据说是要减少毒贩的生意）
7) unclear signs for highways; （上高速公路的指示牌几乎没有）
8) no restroom for supermarket customers; （超级市场没有洗手间）
9) BoA (Bank of America) ATM won't accept deposit; （银行自动提款机不接受我的存款）
10) motel charges wrong; （旅店把钱故意算错，门口标一个价，里面算另一个价）
11) motel no TV remote control; （旅店的电视没有遥控）
12) motel phone cannot connect easily; （旅店的电话老是断线）
13) gas station different charges for credit cards; （加油站用信用卡要加钱）
