As a result of this addition the Act on Aliens now states that holders of a residence permit or long term visa in an EU country may enter a territory of the Czech Republic without a visa and stay for a time not exceeding the limit mentioned in par. 22, art. 4, ie. five days.
However, we were recently informed of the legal opinion of the Ministry of Interior, which says that a possibility to travel to the Czech Republic without a visa for the above mentioned category of aliens should be applied only in case of transit, and it has instructed the border guards under its supervision to act accordingly.
