Get away from the cities

Have you been to Yosemite? It's one of the most popular national parks in the US. It'll make a perfect 3 day trip. Lake Tahoe is another good choice for some relaxation and great scenery. Crater Lake + Redwood NP would be another choice, though it'll be a bit more driving than the other two.
