Education and Health Care are a whole lot cheaper in Canada than in U.S.

You do need to know how to work the Canadian social-welfare style Health Care System in order to get good care and, especially, PROMPT care for disceases that are not urgent but indeed serious. In both countries you have to be aware of options available for treating your illness in order to get proper treatments - this knowledge becomes extremely important in Canada, given there is no incentives whatsoever, for the Canadian doctors to do more tests, try alternatives, look for more accurate diagnosis, etc etc (there is incentives for U.S. doctors under the private insurance system).
