You and you children will have very different opinions on this.

It all depends on who you identify with and  where your loyalty lies. American will forever view China as a competitor and a potential threat. For most of the ABCs, even though they share the same genetic linage as Chinese, they are Americans. They have to be very careful about their position, especially if they are interested in politics. The stronger and more aggressive China gets, the more ABCs have to distant themselves from China. It is also true in high tech fields. Close tie with China will lower ABC's security clearance and limit their growth opportunities.
