圣弗朗西斯和他的祷告文（下）

前文简要介绍了生于十二世纪意大利亚西西的基督教伟大圣徒弗朗西斯的生平事迹。他以他短暂的人生，活出了一位基督门徒的圣洁生命。圣弗朗西斯本可以享受他父亲留给他的巨大的人间财富，可是他却安贫乐道，背起十字架，跟随主耶稣的足迹，真实地实践积财宝于天国。

圣弗朗西斯被尊为美国旧金山市的守护者，世界动物和环境保护的先驱。他也天主教最大的派别之一圣方济会的创始人。对于山哥和许多主内弟兄姊妹们而言，圣弗朗西斯留下的脍炙人口的祷告词，成为我们与神交流的楷模。我们也由此更加明白何谓“先求神的国，神的义”；何为“施比受更为有福”，如何才能爱神爱人如己。

主啊，使我作你和平之子：

在仇恨之处播种你的爱；
在伤害之处播种你宽恕；
在怀疑之处播种信心；
在绝望之处播种你盼望；
在黑暗之处播种你光明；
在悲哀之处播种喜乐；
主啊，赐我那梦寐以求的：少求人安慰，但求安慰人；
少求人理解，但求理解人；
少求被爱，但求去爱；

因为给予，就是得着宽恕人，就被宽恕；
这样的死亡，就是我们的永生。

Lord, make me a channel of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

and where there is sadness, joy.

I may not so much seek

to be consoled as to console;

to be understood as to understand;

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life。
