The Celtics look painfully soft in the painted area this year. Celtics fans didn’t like the trade when Ainge sealed the deal, and Boston still hasn’t been able to fill the center role that Perk played. Before the trade, Perk was a big part of Celtics games who defended the post one on one well, providing physical presence at both ends of the court. But he turned into one of the worst centers in the finals with Miami. His defensive ability is slowly coming back this season…

Green has been solid at both ends of the floor in recent games. This past Saturday, he held LBJ to just 29.4% shooting against him. On offense, he gives Boston a new dimension with dunks, mid-range jumpers, 3 pointers unfortunately it will take time for him to build confidence and consistency after a major heart surgery.

Comparing Perk to Green is tough as both are post-injury, over priced, inconsistency. Green has much more potential so I’d take Green over Perk.
