Mid-range game, the lost art of basketball

Without a reliable mid-range jumper hurt Lin big time tonight. It was great that the Knicks pulled out a win, building on team effort and Wolves' inexperience and mistakes. But they contained Lin pretty well, especially in the 2nd half. I am sure future opponents will take a page from the Wolves. Playing aggressively in his driving lane, and if there are big guys to meet him at the rim, it would be very hard for Lin to score.

It's high time to develop a mid-range jump shot, to keep the defenders honest. Also, Lin can save energy and protect himself better with a better jump shot.
