NBA Trade Rumors: Brooklyn Nets Brook Lopez traded to Chicago Bu

The Brooklyn Nets has an erratic start in the ongoing NBA regular season. Same goes to the Chicago Bulls which has an up and down beginning. Rumors are now spreading that the two teams might meet at the trading table for a possible deal involving Nets center Brook Lopez.

Currently, the Nets is holding a 2-4 record placing them at the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference. While the Bulls have a blistering start, winning their first 3 games but lost their next 3 and now holding a 3-3 record to settle at 8th spot of Eastern Conference. And now, the Nets are said to be open to trading Lopez on or before the February trade deadline.

According to Sportsrageous, in order to prevent a disappointing season, the Nets seem to be shopping their 2013 NBA All-Star center and it got the attention of the Chicago Bulls to acquire the big man.

Though it never cited who will be the player(s) the Bulls could offer to the Nets, it mentioned that anyone from the young assets of Bulls plus a first-round pick could lure the Nets to give up Lopez.

If ever the trade pushes thru, it could be a reunion of sorts with his twin brother Robin. Robin Lopez was just recently acquired by the Bulls in the offseason together with Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant in a trade that sent superstar Derrick Rose, Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round pick to the New York Knicks.

The addition of Brook to the Bulls would literally mean that they will have a 'twin tower' of sorts with his brother Robin that will patrol the middle and protect the rim at all times. And the same time, it will give the Bulls an offensive player down low bringing in his averages of 20.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game last season.

As per CBSSports, earlier reports are floating that the Boston Celtics got the interest of Brook Lopez too. But the Celtics are quick to deny the accusation and said that they are satisfied with their current roster for now. Adding Lopez might mess up their rotation and they have ample players to man cover the middle.
