Russian Team Championship
The 2016 Russian Team Championship Premier League is a 5-team double round-robin taking place from 1-10 May in the Zhemchuzhina (Pearl) Hotel Complex in Sochi. Siberia (Kramnik, Grischuk) are the reigning champions, with ShSM Legacy Square (Karjakin) and Bronze Horseman (Svidler) the best-poised to dethrone them. Teams consist of eight players, with six playing each match. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move one. No draw offers are allowed until move 41. There are two match points for a team win and one for a draw. Official website: ruchess.ru
